EducationUniversity of Wisconsin-Madison - BS, Medical Microbiology and Immunology , University of Wisconsin-Madison - MS, Bacteriology
ExperienceWhen I was at my university, I worked as a teaching and laboratory assistant. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, majoring in Medical Microbiology and Immunology. I went on to earn my master's degree in Bacteriology. I just finished a stint teaching Microbiology. I would like to carry on working with students. I enjoy the student-teacher exchange involved in tutoring, especially in the teaching of science and math. Since we all learn at different rates and in different ways, I adapt my teaching methods to the needs of each individual student. I am proficient to tutor in many areas, including algebra, geometry, elementary math, middle school math, statistics, trig, biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, microbiology, reading, essay editing, and preparation for standardized tests (STAAR, ACT, SAT, MCAT sciences). I have done many things in my professional life. I have worked as a stem cell researcher, a microbiologist, and now I hold a position as a chef in an eating establishment. To relax, I cook and bake with fermented products in my kitchen and in the kitchen of the restaurant in which I work. To clear my mind and stay in shape, I hike and train for triathlons. I currently reside in Phoenix, Arizona.
HobbiesCooking and fermentation, hiking.
